This page describes the structure of the Kombo on-site and any necessary preparation.

Structure

We will work together to implement a feature in our code base. The day will be split between pair programming, solo programming, and talking to teamies. You do not need to bring your own laptop - we will provide a fully set-up MacBook (International Keyboard, by default without a mouse) for you.

Overall, the goal is to emulate a real day at Kombo while collaborating as closely as possible. You will be allowed to use all the software you usually use; the day is about seeing how collaborating would look.

Please ring at the “Bitte hier Klingeln” sign (German for: “please ring here”) and say at the reception that you are there for Kombo. Please then already go up to the Kombo office in the 3rd + 4th floor.

Please be there by 10:00. We aim to finish the day between ~17:00-19:00 PM.

In addition, helpful but not required is

• going through our docs to understand better how the product works: https://docs.kombo.dev/introduction
• Refreshing our tech stack, especially on the backend side (NodeJS, Express, TypeScript, Postgres/Prisma).

When you are at the office, you will have to sign an NDA and an agreement for the compensation of the day. The day will be compensated with €300.
